George E. Sarris, M.D., Chief Scientific Officer is a world renowned Pediatric Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon with over 30 years of clinical experience. Besides his role as Chief Scientific Officer, he is the director of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Department in IASO children’s hospital in Athens, Greece.
In the past he has been Professor of Cardiac Surgery in the Center for Cardiac Surgery for Children and Related Heart Diseases and Head of Pediatric Heart-Lung Transplantation at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA (1995-97). Over the past 20 years he has established the first pediatric heart surgery center in three major Greek hospitals (Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, Mitera and IASO Children’s hospitals).
Currently, he is President of the European Congenital Heart Surgeons Association. Dr. George E. Sarris has been published in several well established magazines, such as European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Annals of Thoracic Surgery, World Journal of Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery etc. Dr. George E. Sarris has graduated from Harvard, Stanford and Emory with honors from their respective Medical Schools.
